Sri Jagannathastakam

URJA MUSIC is proud to announce the launch of a new cd by Sacidevi dasi on Sri Jagannathastakam. Accompanied by a booklet on the Appearance of Lord Jagannath lila, the first track on the cd is the Sri Jagannathastakam rendered in traditional vocal accompanied by flute, violin, pakhawaj and tabla. The second track is the English narration of the astakam accompanied by Western music. Sri Jagannathastakam was written by Sri Sankaracarya and chanted by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. This album was recorded as an offering to Lord Jagannath in 2006. It was played at the Gundica Mandir for the pleasure of Their Lordships during the Ratha Yatra festival in Puri.
