It seems that the recent Football World Cup in Russia helped to awaken certain rasik bhavas amongst the Vaishnava community. We saw that even some dedicated Vaishnavas could not resist to cheer at certain World Cup games, specially when they were related to the place of their birth. It is a bit shameful, but even rasas such as hatefulness seem to appear as certain judges gave doubtful eleven meter decisions.
But all in all since the Lord of all is One and He invites all the souls to play with Him the divine ball in His world, we should meditate that the promotion of football is towards sakhya-rasa amongst all.
