Somehow this important date almost slipped past us into eternity. Some devotees already thought that it had, and lamented that we had missed an opportunity to glorify this most sublime spiritual literature.
However, if we act quickly we can still do something. According to the lunar calendar the Jyaistha krsna-pancami would correspond to the Appearance day of Vakreshvara Pandit. In Bangalore that would be June 7th, 2015.
We could have continual reading of this text, enact pastimes, kirtan and prasada distribution, etc.
“In Vrndavana in the year 1537 Sakabda Era [A.D. 1615], in the month of Jyaistha [May-June], on Sunday, the fifth day of the waning moon, this Caitanya-caritamrta has been completed.”
