A group of senior Iskcon devotees decided that the Women Guru Issue was ridiculous, since all woman are Gurus as soon as they give birth to a child. To discriminate between one type of Guru and another was considered offensive.
Spokesperson Tarun Krishna das said: We offer our obeisances to all the female Gurus of the world, both in Iskcon as well as outside and pray for their forgiveness for our minimizing and relativizing their position.
