“Srila Maharaj happily addressed all my questions”

The following letter is written by Srila Bhakti Bibudha Bodhayan Goswami Maharaj in honor of Srila Bhakti Vedanta Narayan Goswami Maharaj entering Samadhi.

From today we will miss the physical association of an exulted Vaisnava, His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Vedanta Narayan Goswami Maharaj, who traveled abroad tirelessly even at his advanced age to deliver many fallen souls.

Whenever I would go to His Grace for guidance, Srila Maharaj happily addressed all my questions. My beloved Gurudeva, His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Pramode Puri Goswami Maharaj, entered his eternal pastimes on the 22nd of November, 1999. After this, I went to Devananda Gaudiya Math in Navadwip Dham to receive instructions.
At that time, Srila Maharaj sweetly instructed me to remain tolerant and to continue to carry out the mission of Mahaprabhu under the shelter of my Gurudeva, Srila Bhakti Pramode Puri Goswami Maharaj.

To this day I am following this instruction, which allows me to feel the benefit of being tolerant while living in Vaisnava society so that I may follow the path of devotion peacefully.

On the 29th of December at Jagannath Puri Dham, Srila Narayan Goswami Maharaj physically left the mortal world, but Srila Maharaj is always with us in spirit when we follow in his footsteps. We must practice his message of Harikatha and read the valuable devotional books; then we will be able to glimpse and understand the teachings of the six Goswamis and henceforth become eligible to deliver ourselves from the misery of the mortal world.

From today, our only opportunity to serve Srila Maharaj is to follow his Vani (instructions). In reality, Vani Seva will keep us close to this exulted personality.

I humbly pray to the Lotus feet of Srila Narayan Goswami Maharaj; please give me the strength to engage in your Vani Seva and allow me to carry out the mission of Mahaprabhu with purity for the rest of my life under the shelter of Guru-Parampara (disciplic succession).

Nitai Gour Haribol

Seeking specks of the dust from the feet of pure devotees,
B.B. Bodhayan
