NEW VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE WVA
by our WVA correspondent in Mayapur
Bhakti Vichar Bishnu Maharaja, one of the leading secretaries of Srila Bhakti Vaibhav Puri Maharaja, founder acarya of the Sri Caitanya Mission and world preacher at the advanced age of 92 years, has been chosen for the responsible and dignified position as vice-president of the WVA, because he has vast experience with the international situation of Vaishnavas in many parts of the world. He has traveled  extensively all over Asia, Europe and America. Both Maharaja and his Guru have been active supporters of the WVA from the very beginning, when it was founded in Modi Bhavan 1994. Words from the new vice-president:

All glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga! All glories to the Vaishnavas!

Respected Devotees,
Please accept my humble obeisances

Our 20th WVA Meeting was held in Caitanya Gaudiya Math on the 5th of March, 2004 in Sridham Mayapur in the presence of President Srila B.B. Tirtha Maharaja and many prominent sannyasis and devotees who came from all over the world. The assembled Vaishnavas have blessed me to serve as the Vice-president of our Vishva Vaishnava Raj Sabha. I pray to all our Guru parampara acharyas and all Vaishnavas, that if they bestow their kindness unto me and allow me to serve and to preach Gauranga Mahaprabhu's message,  only then will my life be sublime. I am an insignificant soul, not qualified in any way, but Vaishnavas are so compassionate, that they can engage and make one qualified by their causeless mercy. This is my only hope. Thank you all who are present there and not present as well. Together we will be able to serve Mahaprabhu Radha Krishna without any troubles.

Being responsible for their missions in Austria, Italy, Spain, Mexico and many other places, Bishnu Maharaja understands the needs of those who are trying to live the Vaishnava life-style outside of India. His personal charm and non-sectarian nature enable him to be very much accessible to Vaishnavas and sympathetic to their different problems. He is also serving as the Coordinator of the Conflict Resolving Committee of the WVA. It is encouraging to see that since the WVA was founded, no conflicts have ever been reported to the Committee. In essence, all Vaishnavas agree with each other and are generally very eager to expand the legacy given to them by their Gurudeva. Now with Sripad Bhakti Vichar Bishnu Maharaja as vice-president, we have a greater opportunity to take initiative to further the different goals of the WVA. One of his future goals is to make a Vaishnava University in Jagannath Puri for all the members of the WVA, just like founding member of the WVA, Sripad Bhakti Swarup Damodar Maharaja has opened a university in Manipur and invited all the members of the WVA to take advantage of the courses offered in that university. Slowly but surely the development of the educational committee of the WVA is getting further enhanced. We wish Maharaja great success in his work as vice-president of the WVA, a position entrusted to him by the unanimous vote of all the sannyasis and acharyas present in the Sri Caitanya Gaudiya Math for the 20th Meeting of the Managerial Committee, conducted personally by our President Srila Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Maharaja.
