YOGA MONASTERIES - A WAY TO KEEP IN CONTACT WITH YOUR SOUL
by our WVA correspondent in Peru
The Vrinda mission has taken up the effort to provide rural ashrams for retreats in the atmosphere of a yoga monastery. This program is available to everybody, but especially for those who want to have a short but intense experience of living in harmony with nature and performing spiritual practices in the company of serious and understanding teachers and monks. Set in the beautiful environment of the Ecuadorian jungle, or the Vedic Yoga planetarium on Lima, Peru's Pacific Coast, or in the holy site of Vrindavan, India in the famous temple of the Queen of Manipur called Vrinda-kunja, retreats will be opened in many other locations in Colombia, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica, Hungary and Germany.

For all those who cannot live continuously in an ashram community, these retreats serve as a great relief. We offer devotional service (karma-yoga) in many different fields such as organic gardening, conscious arts, vegetarian cooking, yoga teacher training and essentials of naturopathy. This program is extremely beneficial for the children of those who practice spiritual life in an urban environment and have little opportunity to enthuse their teenagers and young adults with joyful practical experiences.

We will be happy to customize a program specifically for your requirements and also inform you of special retreats with prominent sannyasis.
