NOISE POLLUTION IN SRIDHAM MAYAPUR
our WVA correspondent in Mayapur
Last year the Saraswat Gaudiya Vaishnava Association coordinated an announcement program which positioned trumpet speakers every 100 meters along the Bhaktisiddhanta road. Besides playing distorted music at very high volume, they kept making announcements on intervals which turned into a substantial sound-pollution. Nobody could find peace or meditation while they were doing pilgrimage along the Bhaktisiddhanta road. This complaint will also be forwarded to the respected authorities of the Saraswat Gaudiya Vaishnava Association to stop this program in future years or to modify it for exclusive emergencies.
