Sravana and kirtana should continue together simultaneously. To attend to the place of propaganda is necessary.

“The great souls constantly glorify me and strive for me, being strictly dedicated to me. They bow down to me and worship me with devotion, aspiring for their eternal relationship with me.” (Bhagavad-gita, 9.14)

To receive and to distribute, both are equally important. To purchase and to sell, to collect and to distribute the current, the current business of Krishna consciousness—that is what is necessary. Preaching makes us fit to hear. While preaching, we face many new problems, and then our hearing becomes more perfect: we inquire especially on those points, those new difficulties. So, sravana and kirtana should be a constant thing, a rolling business. This is more fruitful: a rolling business, to take and give, take and give, to be a mediator.

In a river, the water in the current is more pure. So, the current should be always kept. We should not be stagnant but in the current. To listen ever-new and to distribute always; if it is current, it is a living thing: it will show its ever new characteristic. Prati-padam purnamrtasvadanam: it will always seem to be a new thing, to be of new color, and never stale. Nava-navayaman: always showing new phases. It is not a finite thing; its infinite characteristic will be maintained. Anandambudhi-vardhanam: it is an ocean of joy that again increases at every moment. Prati-padam purnamrtasvadanam: at every step, we experience a new type of joy, evergreen, ever new, always progressing. But how can the Infinite make any progress? Where is there room? Still, its nature is such: it is always progressing, showing itself to be newer and newer always.

So, the plan for preaching is also not to be ignored. We must do that. That will help us to again collect capital. The need, the hunger, should be maintained, the hunger to hear. The preaching, the distribution, will help us a great deal to acquire new goods.
